The GrassWorks Grazing Conference is an unparalleled opportunity for networking, learning, and exploring the latest in grazing practices. From improving soil health and water quality to supporting graziers’ livelihoods, attendees engage with innovative ideas and practical solutions. 2026 Call for Proposals
GrassWorks is now accepting proposals for presentations at the 2026 GrassWorks Grazing Conference, January 22–24, 2026, at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Our 2026 theme is Grazing Economics and Profitability—focusing on practical, innovative, and profitable approaches to grass-based livestock production. We’re looking for engaging speakers, hands-on workshops, and inspiring stories that help farmers improve their operations, profitability, and quality of life.
We welcome proposals from graziers, researchers, educators, and agricultural professionals on topics such as:
Grazing systems that increase profitability
Economic tools and decision-making strategies
Soil health and pasture management
Direct marketing and value-added enterprises
Farm transition and business planning
Innovative technologies and practices in grazing
Proposal Deadline: September 15, 2025

Learn in Engaging Sessions
The GrassWorks Grazing Conference offers a diverse lineup of sessions covering key topics such as grazing through weather extremes, grazing economics, animal health, and the principles of managed grazing. Led by experienced graziers and agriculture experts, these sessions provide valuable, practical knowledge to help you manage your land and livestock more effectively in an ever-changing agricultural landscape.
Our 2026 GrassWorks Grazing Conference will focus on profitable grazing practices and accordingly the conference will feature sessions that explore practices to boost profitability on a variety of farms.
The conference will kick off early in the afternoon on Thursday, January 22nd, and will wrap up with an ice cream social on Saturday, January 26th.
GrassWorks currently has the call for proposals out for the 2026 conference, but to get an idea of the types of talks you can expect to find you can check out the the 2025 conference schedule here! This schedule is subject to possible additions or corrections.

GrassWorks is fortunate to work with organizations who provide scholarships to farmers to attend educational events where they can learn skills and practices and connect with other farmers and agriculture professionals.

There are 3 options for Hotel blocks for the GrassWorks Grazing Conference this year. The Radisson, (connected to La Crosse Center via Skywalk), Pearl Street Hotel and Suites, and Home 2 Suites by Hilton. Reservation blocks will be released after December 21st, 2025.
