2026 Upper Midwest Farmland Summit

November 18 @ 8:00 am – November 19 @ 5:00 pm

Farmland at a Crossroads

A significant transition in farmland ownership is underway across the Upper Midwest. Who will own and farm this land in the decades ahead? What will that mean for rural communities, beginning farmers, aging farmers, and the future of agriculture?

Join farm advocates, ag professionals, educators, lenders, conservationists, policymakers, and others from across the region for this two day summit to learn, share, and cultivate regional solutions. Register by October 20, 2026 to get the early bird rate!

The Summit will take place at the Pyle Center at UW-Madison on November 18 and 19, 2026.

Speakers include Zach Ducheneaux, former USDA Farm Service Administrator, Paul Dietmann, Compeer Financial; Julia Valliant, American Farmland Trust; Christina Lynch, Potlikker Capital; Rachel Armstrong, Farm Commons and others from MN Department of Agriculture, WI Farmers Union, Wisconsin Farm Bureau, University of Wisconsin Extension, farmland navigators, and many more.
