SUMMARY:Pasture Walk on Bale Grazing
DESCRIPTION:Jerry’s family has been farming for 120 years\, and he is a 3rd generation farmer on the land. Jerry adopted managed grazing in 2021 to improve soil health\, reduce inputs\, and boost productivity. He grazes Red Angus\, Hereford\, and Black Angus animals on 32 acres. We’ll explore how he utilizes bale grazing as both an outwintering strategy and a fertility program for his sandy soils. This is a free event! All are welcome (kids too)! Cookies and refreshments will be provided.
