SUMMARY:Pasture Walk at Black Creek Bison Ranch
DESCRIPTION:NW WI Graziers Network is hosting their annual Bison Pasture Walk and Lunch at Dave and Veronica Fogerty’s Farm. Dave rotationally grazes 40 head of bison and incorporates silvopasure into his management strategy. Topics will include bison management\, silvopasture\, soil health\, alternative summer grazed annual forages\, prairie and native grasses\, pollinator habitat\, and cover crop forages. Read more about their farm and practices here! \n\n\n\nParticipants are encouraged to attend beginning at 10AM or earlier and then are invited to stay for a free Bison burger lunch.  The Wisconsin Bison Producers Association meeting will be held in midafternoon after the event.  \n\n\n\nThis pasture walk is perfect for both new and experienced graziers. SUMMARY:GrassWorks Summer Picnic and Pasture Walk
DESCRIPTION:GrassWorks is excited to be hosting our 2025 annual picnic and pasture walk at Pape Family Pastures in Peshtigo\, WI. If you’ve been missing the community and inspiration of the GrassWorks conference\, the picnic is a perfect time to reconnect with your grazing network and welcome new farmers into the herd!  \n\n\n\nThe Pape’s will kick off the day with a pasture walk highlighting their custom dairy heifers and pastured broilers. Aaron will be sharing his experience with farm finances and how business management has shaped his grazing operations over time. Grazier Ron Schoepp will cover on-farm conservation practices and how they align with managed grazing. And of course\, there will be plenty of time for catching up with fellow GrassWorks farmers\, members\, and friends! Thanks to our USDA-NRCS GLCI grant for the generous support of the picnic! \n\n\n\nThe cost is $15/person and includes lunch. Kids are welcome and eat free.
